We started out in November 2003, in Cambridgeshire, with one Xerox 6060 Digital Press and 1,000 sq. ft. of space.
It soon became clear that we needed more room to accommodate our rapid growth and we moved to a barn conversion, specifically designed with our future business plans in mind. Within three years, we occupied 3,000 sq. ft. of space, had recruited five more employees and replaced the existing press with four new ones!
Continued growth and investment enabled us to increase our turnover year on year. This meant we could invest in the latest digital printing and finishing technology to stay ahead of our competitors. The staff grew to around 20 people, adding various other directions, such as a large format department, and web development that took the company into new market places.
During these early years we built a solid reputation through our ethos of being accommodating and professional. We strove to exceed client expectations with fast turnaround and high quality printing, always meeting deadlines. Our ability to remove stress from clients when the project had been ‘sent to print’ helped us expand even further.
The need for an even larger building arose in 2009 and resulted in the move to our current premises in 2010. This allowed us to upgrade to three of the latest colour presses, and we were the first company in the world to have three Morgana booklet/stitching machines within a digital print department, which helped us cope with increasing volumes of work.
We now have 100 employees and have recently moved into completely modernised premises on Hinchingbrooke Business Park. This gives us even greater print quality and enables us to print longer runs even more competitively. We continue to grow and invest for the future, both in the latest technology and in our people. In the current business climate, this is an achievement we feel extremely proud of.
